Spyderco Endura - Lightweight, Affordable and Spyderco Tough
The Spyderco Endura is Spyderco’s lightweight pocket knife
that can be opened one-handed at a very affordable price. The Spyderco Endura is one knife that Spyderco continues to improve constantly. This improvement process has come to be known as the Constant Quality Improvement or CQI.The Spyderco Endura 4 which is the newest model at this time has a complete new and revised construction. This pocket knife has a screw construction making cleaning and adjusting a lot simpler. You will also find the ergonomics to be a lot simpler.
The Spyderco Endura blade are flat saber-ground created from VG10 stainless steel to provide a super tough blade that isn’t too hard to sharpen and keep that way. You will find that the Spyderco Endura ships razor sharp right out of the box and from the factory.
The overall length on the Spyderco Endura 4 knives is 8 ¾ inches with the blade being a solid 3 ¾ inches long. The actual weight, depending on the blade material is about 3.5 ounces making this knife unbelievably light. If you are looking for something easy to carry that won’t get in your way or add any extra weight, go for the Spyderco Endura 4.
The Spyderco Endura 4 comes in quite the variety. The handles come in the indestructible FRN. You can also get the stainless steel handle. The blade comes in Spyderco’s common variety of plain, serrated and combo edge.
I am partial to the Spyderco Endura 4 wave. The wave is a hook curving out of the top of the knife’s blade. When removing the knife from a front pocket the Wave catches the pocket’s edge quickly opening the knife blade ready to use. The Spyderco Endura 4 can also be taken out of the pocket without engaging the Wave Opening Feature by pulling it straight up and out with your fingers on top of the closed blade.
