High End Pocket Knives

What do you look for in high end pocket knives? I've always been particular about a few things when it comes to looking for that quality pocket knife that I intend to add either to my collection or to my pocket for regular carry.

One thing that is a must for me in high end pocket knives is the blade steel. This may take a bit of research and require you to educate yourself a bit when it comes to blade steel.
